A unique piece, made for you and with you

Furatena guides you at every stage, from the choice of the stone to the final details of your piece. Your wishes guide the creation; we give them shape in a personal, attentive exchange.

How a jewel is born

Eight stages, from the first conversation to the case.

  1. The meeting

You tell us what you imagine, with a sketch, an old piece of jewellery or simply a few words. We take the time to understand what matters to you.

  2. The stone

Together we choose the gem that will give the piece its character. Thanks to our network at the source, we present a selection suited to your wishes, your project and your budget. Every stone is shown to you with full transparency; we tell you its certification status and the information available about its origin.

  3. The drawing

Starting from our conversations and the stone you have chosen, we draw your piece. You share your comments and we adjust the drawing with you until it matches what you imagine.

  4. The 3D model

We present the 3D model created from the drawing and the stone we chose together. You discover your piece from every angle; we look with you at its proportions, its details and the placement of the gem. Your feedback lets us adjust the model before you give your approval for production.

  5. The casting

Once the model is approved, your piece takes shape in the metal you have chosen. The lines we drew and adjusted with you become a real piece, ready to receive your stone.

  6. The setting

Our workshop sets the gem in the mounting designed for it. The setting respects the lines of the piece you have approved; we check how securely the stone is held and the balance of the whole.

  7. Polishing and inspection

Every surface is polished to reveal the shine of the metal. We then examine the piece under the loupe, down to the last detail: finish, setting and balance. This last look comes before its presentation.

  8. The handover

Your piece is presented to you in its case. We discover it with you, go back over the choices that gave this piece its form and explain how to look after it.

The conclusion

A Furatena creation is born of a conversation, a stone chosen with care and the decisions we make with you. Step by step, your idea becomes a piece of jewellery that tells your story. Yours begins with a message.

First conversation

We begin with a conversation, with no obligation, to hear your project, your wishes and the story you want to tell. You arrive with an idea, a drawing, a piece to reset, or simply a wish. That first exchange lets us put creative directions and a tailored quote in front of you.

Sketch & selection

We draw a first sketch of your piece, adjusted to your feedback. Together we choose the materials and the stones that fit best, through our network at the source. For every stone we propose, we tell you its certification status and the information available on its origin.

Making

The piece is then shaped with care by partner craftspeople, recognised for their skill. Every detail is worked to demanding standards, in keeping with fine jewellery.

Delivery

Once the piece is finished, it is handed to you in person or sent by secure transport. Presented in a refined case, it is ready to be given or worn to mark a singular moment.

After the creation

Your story with Furatena does not end when the piece is handed over. If you had it made with us, its polishing is offered to you for life, every time you entrust it to us.

Engraving the moment, as much as the piece

A piece of jewellery keeps the trace of a moment: a wedding band, a birth, a family heirloom. Tell us the moment that matters to you, and we think with you about how to bring it to life in your creation.

Transforming an old piece

Give your older pieces a second life. Whether you want to modernise a ring, redraw a pendant or bring an inherited stone into its own, our jewellers reinvent your pieces with elegance. Each one is rethought to hold both its sentimental value and a contemporary design.

Your questions

Another question? Write to us and we will answer.

Can I have a bespoke piece made as a gift?

Absolutely. We regularly guide clients through symbolic occasions: an engagement ring, a birth gift, a family heirloom. Every creation is conceived to mark a singular moment.

Which materials do you use?

We work with yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum and silver. We help you choose the metal that suits your piece and your wishes.

How long does a bespoke piece take?

Creating a bespoke piece generally takes between 4 and 6 weeks from the final approval of the design. This time may vary with the complexity of the piece and the availability of the gemstones. An estimate is given to you before work begins and we keep you informed at every stage.

Do you make bespoke pieces for men?

Yes. We make bespoke pieces for men and women alike: rings, signet rings, cufflinks, pendants. Bespoke adapts to every style.

Can I choose my own stone?

Yes. Our house offers you a selection of natural stones, chosen according to your preferences in colour, size and budget.

What does a bespoke piece cost?

The price depends on the design, the materials chosen and the stone selected. It is set with you in a personal conversation, with full transparency, before any commitment.

Can I follow the progress?

Yes, we keep you informed at each key stage of the creation, from design approval through making to dispatch.

How is the piece presented? Can it be given as a gift?

Every piece is carefully presented in a case. If it is a gift, please let us know and we will adapt the presentation.

Can I change or cancel a bespoke order?

Every bespoke creation begins with a personal conversation to understand your wishes and your budget. Whether a change or cancellation is possible depends on how far the project has progressed. All the conditions are explained to you with full transparency, before any commitment.

Do you help me choose the stone or the design?

Yes, we accompany you at every stage to choose the stone and define a design that suits you. The conversation is personal, with proposals adapted to your budget and your wishes.

How do you ensure provenance and traceability?

We attach great importance to the provenance of our stones. Each stone is carefully selected and accompanied by the information available on its origin, with transparency according to the data from laboratories and suppliers.

Can I supply my own stone?

Of course! Do you already have a stone and wish to give it a new life? Whether it is a family keepsake or a favourite you fell for, let us talk. Together we will look at the possibilities for a creation that shows your stone to its best advantage.

Can I arrange an appointment by phone or video call?

Of course, we would be delighted to speak with you by phone or video conference. Simply contact us to arrange an appointment that suits your availability.

How do I care for my piece?

To preserve the shine of your piece, we recommend gentle, regular cleaning and avoiding harsh products. If in doubt, contact us and we will guide you according to the materials of your piece.
